and then with good timing by serendipity, The Eagles on the radio began singing to me with...
Take it easy...
Don't let the sound of your own wheels drive you crazy...
It was a fine moment.
Of course they also sang about having
seven women on my mind...
Which is not what was on my mind at all... but still, serendipity can only do so much.
Some nice sights on this evening's walk too:
Back next weekend, I hope.

very nice. I thought there might be something soothing here, and there was.
ReplyDeleteThere are some beautiful shots here, Andrew. Soothing indeed.
ReplyDeleteThe only problem is that you have been listening to (gasp!) The Eagles.
Don't do that, dear, I'm sure it's not good for you.
It seems you have been having a particularly serendipitous day. The rainbow is outstanding. The moon captured within the branches of a tree, is a familiar site to me :-)
ReplyDeleteThe Eagles are bloody magnificent Ashley. Always were and always will be. But that "seven women on my mind" stuff has been niggling at me and making me feel rather inadequate... so I thought, hang on a minute... (and in no particular order apart from the first one of course): Lady Dulcinea QuiScottie, Claude, Cherie, Ashley-Lily, Knatolee, Soosie the Elephant's Child, Susan, DaiseyFae... Good God that's Eight alreay! What a guy I am :) My mind is now fully occupied again but I am trying not to let the sound of its own wheels drive me crazy.
ReplyDeleteAt one point the end of the rainbow was very clearly in that ploughed field right in front of me Cherie. I know where to dig for the pot of gold! Although all I found today was three golf balls, but that's saved me three quid. Not bad. And I found six yesterday and five the day before. I'll be a golf ball millionaire soon. This is the blessing of having a local club full of rubbish golfers whose balls end up bouncing in the woods (eh, if you see what I mean).
ReplyDeleteI have almost forgotten about the rainbow, although I do remember that looking for the end of the rainbow and the pot of gold can lead to trouble...
ReplyDeleteI have almost but not quite forgoten, but for now you have transported me to the sounds of the Eagles...
With such beautiful vistas to contemplate you could never be blamed for simply enjoying them.
ReplyDeleteInteresting views.
ReplyDeleteI'll see what I can take this week in Toronto.
Stunning views. Equally stunning and well chosen photos. And I am an Eagles fan myself - and flattered to be included in your cyber harem.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos - "big sky" country comes to mind.
ReplyDeleteThe photos: a pleasure for my eyes.
ReplyDeleteWho are the Eagles, though? :)
Anyway: Music as it's noise-related / is often not appreciated. [Wilhelm Busch]

"... Last thing I remember,
I was Running for the door
I had to find the passage back

'relax,' said the night man,
We are programmed to receive.
You can checkout any time you like,
But you can never leave... "

Beats an hour in any other place for refreshment of the mind any day, so far as I remember. Even if sweet slim Lady Dulcinea, lying by my side, is gently pointing out that she does have an early morning tomorrow, and yes The Eagles are great, and their themes are often worth warming to, but... monday evening, things to do in the morning... ah well, headphones on and lonely pleasures for now.
Checking out now, even if I can never leave,
Oh, dear, now I'm caught between two stools: My Don here, Miss Scarlett there, writing: "Don't do that, dear, I'm sure it's not good for you."
ReplyDeleteAch, best I am going to sleep through. . . . . . .
However... since I am going down memory lane, may as well embarass myself with three special songs for Dulcinia (we got married in 1977... It's been a long time...)

Goodnight. Forgive me. It has been an emotional day today.
Ha! Pulling the head of my tall Don down, so that my lips can reach his forehead. :)x
ReplyDeleteEnjoy each second of your memories, ... the presence ... and your future.
And my kind regards to Lady Dulcinea.
The peace of the night to both of you.
The Don and The Lady Scarlett can both be right Sean...
ReplyDeleteWhat is not good for you can be good :)
Ha ha haha ha ha ha . . .
ReplyDeleteenjoying some spring blooms in this corner of earth as well!
ReplyDeleteGood to know that DaisyFae. Everything is ticking over nicely and as it should do (apart from anything that humans are in charge of, of course).
ReplyDeleteOh, what a splendiferous series of photos!!! Love the blossoms, and the rainbow is spectacular.
ReplyDeleteMuch splendiferosity was abounding that evening, Knatolee.
ReplyDeleteOk, Andrew, but later on, don't say I didn't warn you. ;)
