Prostrated and beheaded!
Clinging on for grim death!
I am inclined to adapt some famous words and say - Ask not for whom the snow melts. It melts for you
Better to have stood and gone than never to have been. We shall remember thee, ephemeral being!
The question is - did you kick the rest of it apart after that, DQS? :)
He is melting away undisturbed by me.
I love this one. Both bizarre and poignant.
And all gone when I looked out this morning, apart from the stony eyes and teeth on the grass. But his water molecules travel on to make new snow.
