More like a brazen hussy with those bare limbs
You presume to know that the tree is female Jams?A naked wrinkly old man, perhaps?
What makes you believe that the tree would want to be male or female. I thought only the French would be nervy enough to say (according to their ears) le or la for inanimate objects. The tree, either full or barren, is standing neutral in that story.
But some trees are female Claude, some are male, and some manage to be both. I hesitate to look for metaphor or analogy, and will just be content to say this particular tree's preference is unknown (to me). It underwent rather radical surgery a year ago, as you can still see, but not as part of a sex-change operation, I'm sure.
This tree just is! No need for complications...The tree is a beauty :-)
I specialise in finding complications when there really are none. So my lady tells me anyway, and my daughter, and some workmates...
Yay, back to your tree series. As you have no doubt determined, I love the series, and this tree too is a delight.
Thanks EC. I do like eyeing up a fine tree :)I don't think I've ever hugged one though. That would seem presumptious
I love it. It's beautiful.
