  3. Quite a contrast but be it autumn or winter it is still a beautiful scene

  4. Splendid! And (apart from the naked branches) we only sense that it's winter.

Going back into the past, in the first week of January 2010, you were encouraging some Scottish kids to build an igloo according to my Inuit instructions. You also had a snowman slowly melting in your garden. Very different but also interesting photos.

  5. I am glad you like them Claude, and yes it is fun to look back through a blog at what was happening around the same time in earlier years. It has been extremely mild here recently and the daffodil and crocus bulbs are thrusting their shoots up very eagerly, but a sharp shock down to around minus 15 centigrade is forecast by the end of the week, supposedly to last for a couple of weeks too. I wonder if it will bring snow? I don't much like the prospect, but the opportunity for photographs may be nice. In the meantime I am off to the swimming pool for some exercise that is less likely to get me into trouble than pole dancing classes :) Our local pool has a wonderful outdoor area where you can swim under the moon and the stars, and quite comfortably too provided you keep everything under the reasonably warm water. Gives me the idea of letting Edrig and Adrig get into difficulty with some of the lovely ladies there (as hopefully I won't)
